Calahonda is situated in Mijas Costa, almost exactly half way between Fuengirola and Marbella, on the Costa del Sol; 13 km to Fuengirola and 15 km to Marbella and a mere 40 min drive to Malaga airport on the coastal road. Today, Calahonda is one of the largest urbanisations on the Costa del Sol with over 15,000 inhabitants.
